Strength is defined as the ability to produce force against resistance in your bodies everyday movements.
Functional is having or serving a utilitarian purpose; capable of serving the purpose for which it was designed
Functional strength is designing your training & conditioning with a specific purpose & outcome in mind; to help you gain the strength needed for your daily activities.
Functional Strength is not simply for the competitive athlete, it is for YOU no matter your exercise & fitness background. Plain & simple everyone will benefit from starting & continuing a regular exercise program; whether the final goal is keeping up with your kids or grandkids, having energy at the end of the day, making it to the next level in your sports journey or keeping the blade sharp on the career you already have in your sport.

Everyone stands to gain from training which incorporates muscle strength, cardio vascular endurance, conditioning, balance, coordination & training to strengthen the function of your brain in how it relates to the nerves & muscles of your body. This along with a multitude of other areas will be the emphasis in your Functional training protocols.
The goal in any workout program has to be consistency & intensity, the numbers across the board are staggering when looking at the average drop out rate for people who start a new workout. The national average right now stands at approximately 2 weeks for a person staying with a workout.
Michael & Lesa have a desire to see these statistics changed & they are doing it one person at a time.

Strength for everyday life & activities; this is functionality!
