Form Start
Speed- the ability of an athlete to move his or her body as fast as possible through complete ranges of motion, in a planned and trained manner in a particular direction. Positive acceleration from a stationary stance or dynamic position.
Agility- spontaneous ability to change direction while stopping, starting accelerating & decelerating.
Quickness- an individuals reaction & response to an event stimulus in pure reflex actions & faster than the speed of human thought.
Speed has become the one component which is continuing to change the face of athletics and is sought after in all sports, especially in the explosive ground based sports that include football, baseball, volleyball, tennis, soccer, cross country & track and field. Though numbers on the watch can never determine the heart or passion for the game a person holds, the speed factor is for all intents & purposes what coaches & scouts are looking for initially. Though speed runs highly genetic, it can still be taught & improved upon (even the fastest of athletes). Speed & Sports Speed do however have different meanings in that speed is the overall top acceleration of the athlete in such events as track & field. Sports Speed goes beyond just being fast involving various movement patterns, acceleration, deceleration & a greater utilization of order, sequence & timing which is how or brain & body learn new movement patterns.

Our Sports Speed Development training offers the athlete scientifically proven principles as well as life experience in kinesiology to improve speed, acceleration & impulse agility (movements faster than the speed of thought).
This concept goes far beyond just being fast; its purpose is to functionally enhance the athlete's ability to make the play on the surface of their game.
The core training components include:
- Dynamic flexibility & body elasticity
- Functional strength
- Explosive Power
- Linear/lateral speed
- Spontaneous agility
- Reaction/response quickness Coordination, timing & balance
- Mental & physical toughness
